Stop Dieting & Look BETTER!
by Dena Moscola
Weight Loss is one of the most frustrating topics in America especially lately! Media has been blasting us wwith eat low carbs, eat no carbs, eat net carbs, eat low fat, eat no fat.
How is one supposed to pick through it all and eat right? It is downright confusing!
As a result, the studies continue to reveal the U.S. as the leading country for obesity in the world today. Prevention Magazine released a report saying they polled over 67,000 people that attempted to go on diets. Over 65% of them gained the weight back after one year. The American Medical Association reported that 1 out of 5 Americans are obese. That is over 50% increase in three years.
If more diet programs are out there, why then, are people getting larger instead of healthier?? Why are diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure on the rise if all these diet programs are being offered and utilized?
The answer is simple: DIETS DON'T WORK!
We may lose some weight then put some or all of it back on, eventually. Or we get stuck in a plateau that leaves us frustrated with failure and a lack of understanding. Healthy tips and fad diets are confusing and can cause unbalanced insulin levels leading to serious health issues, fatigue, impatience, depression, slow metabolism and WEIGHT GAIN! The leading predator to heart disease, diabetes, obesity and more is caused by elevated insulin levels.
Weight loss from diets too low in fat leads to loss of lean body mass causing an unhealthy scrawny look and flab. Many farmers feed their cattle high grain, low fat diets to fatten them up. Why would we do the same? Diets including too many carbohydrates lead to weight gain, lack of energy, cravings for more sugar, depression, heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and much more. It is important to remember that excessive carbs turn to sugar. Sugar turns to fat. That is how weight is gained.
Fat consumption is necessary.
It takes good fat to burn bad fat and balance the way your body processes carbs. We also need it for many other health reasons. The truth is, we need food from all three food groups: Carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. This is necessary throughout each day.
Moderation is KEY!
Too much or too little of any food group will have tremendous negative side effects including weight gain. This is why diets NEVER work for long.
Sure, you may drop pounds but how long does it last and what types of health issues are being triggered because of these diets?? Research proves that the weight loss from most diets last a maximum of ONLY 6-8 months. People are wasting valuable energy blaming themselves for their mysterious weight frustrations when the main culprit may be the nutritional guidance being followed.
Be careful who you follow. We have limited resources to learn how to eat healthy in today's world. People of all ages are being guided down the wrong path daily because of misleading advertising and incomplete information.
So how do we learn what is real and where do we turn for help? Even doctors may only receive a few hours of nutritional education. For the most part, doctors are taught to treat symptoms. Therefore, speaking to your doctor is a great first step to any nutritional change. A smart and beneficial second step is to seek the advice of those who have studied nutritional balance and practice healthy eating themselves.
Balance is the answer. Not diets. We all need a balance of carbs, protein AND fat in order to burn fat at the fastest and healthiest rate without hunger between meals. Learn to eat in a balanced, healthy fashion that is custom designed FOR YOU so you can improve your health while never having to deprive yourself. And the BONUS will be, you will also burn fat and build muscle at the fastest, healthiest possible rate. And you will never have to diet.
